Richard L. Nuzum - President
Rich is President and Global Business Leader of Mercer’s Investment Management business (IM), which provides multi-manager investment solutions to investors in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Rich oversees IM’s marketing, sales, client service, operations, investment, and new product development efforts. In addition to his management responsibilities with IM, Rich continues to serve as lead investment consultant for a small number of large institutional investors.
Before taking on his current role, Rich was Americas Business Leader for Mercer Investment Consulting (IC) from 2005 to 2008, and Asian Business Leader for IC from 1997 through 2005. Rich has also served as country head with management responsibility for all of Mercer’s lines of business in Singapore, and sub-regional leader across all of Mercer’s lines of business in Southeast Asia. While with IC, Rich led Mercer’s work for three of the ten largest public funds in the US, for sovereign wealth funds and central banks in more than a dozen Asian and Latin American countries, and for several of the world’s largest insurance companies.
Rich holds an MBA with High Honors in Analytic Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago, and a BA with Honors in Mathematical Sciences and Mathematical Economic Analysis from Rice University. Before joining Mercer, Rich did graduate work in international economics at Tokyo University. Rich is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
